Camp Wakpominee Alumni Association

Since 2005, the Camp Wakpominee Alumni Association and its 100-plus members have been dedicated to Camp Wakpominee through outreach, events and financial support of capital improvement projects. The non-profit Association also strives to encourage participation in fellowship and service efforts by providing social events and workdays for its members and other stakeholders. In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best "right now" selves and grow into their very best "future selves". Through fun, hands-on learning and achievement, we put Scouts in the middle of the action while preparing them for today, tomorrow and the remainder of the lives.

Camp Wakpominee is owned and operated by the Twin Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America. The CWAA partners with and supports the TRC through our steadfast support of Camp Wakpominee and the Scouting program. The CWAA is its own 501(c)3 non-profit organization. For info regarding the Twin River Council or BSA program, their website can be found here: www.trcscouting.org.

Algonquin Project

This year's big capital project is completing the Algonquin campsite refurbishment project. Several Units and individual donors over the last several years contributed to replacing 4 of the 6 dilapidated lean-to's and constructing a pavilion. The old lean-tos had leaky roofs and badly broken concrete pads along with some wood rot. Our project will be to replace the remaining two lean-to's construct a new modern-style latrine and refurbish the site's bulletin board. While we have some of the funds already, we're raising additional funding to complete the $ 9,000 project.

Buy A Brick

Our Brick Campaign is back! Honor a loved one or leave a legacy by purchasing a brick for camp. The commemorative brick area was created in 2023 with the original brick order. The CWAA has partnered with a brick engraver that will allow us to get your brick quickly and cost efferently ensuring the majority of your donation goes to camp. We'll be compiling orders once or twice a year and installing as we get them. Buy yours today! See flyer below for more details.
