About Us

Wakpominee District serves youth in Warren and Washington counties as well as parts of Rensselaer, Saratoga, Essex and Hamilton counties.

Wakpominee District was previously known as Mohican Council. In 1999, it merged with and is now part of the Twin Rivers Council. For more on the District's history, check out Local Scouting History .

Our dedicated district committee and unit level volunteers are dedicated to a common goal: providing quality scouting program opportunities for all youth in our local communities. Quality programs are the key to tying fun and adventure with activities that build character, physical development and a love of the great outdoors!
